Experiences at
The Cohesion
Don Bosco
Bo (24) and Anthony (25) have been living at The Cohesion Don Bosco for almost a year now. Originally from a quiet village in North Holland (The Netherlands), they were eager to experience life in Amsterdam, especially as Bo is studying there. Don Bosco turned out to be the perfect place to make that dream a reality.
Finding their home
Their search started via a recommendation from ROOFZ.eu. After creating a profile and responding to several listings, they quickly secured a corner apartment on the third floor, featuring large windows overlooking the campus and neighbourhood.
A smooth start
The move itself was smooth and well-organised. Although they could not physically view the apartment beforehand, Community Manager Serena connected them with the previous tenant. “It was really helpful,” Bo explains. “I even took over a few items, like shelves in the laundry space. And secretly, it was nice to already get a preview of my new home.”
As the apartments are rented fully ready to live in, settling in was effortless. Anthony says, “We literally just had to put down our things and it already felt like home.” To make the space their own, they added a personal touch. “A bit of colour really completes it,” Bo adds.
Community living
After three quarters of a year, they describe living at Don Bosco as “a small village within a city”. There is a strong sense of community, with neighbours greeting each other in the lift and common areas offering room to connect or unwind. Bo regularly uses the co-work space for studying. “It’s spacious, quiet, and it feels more like a modern city library than a study room.” Anthony makes frequent use of the on-site gym. “I work irregular hours, so it’s ideal to have a gym next door that I can use almost any time of the day.”
Location and lifestyle
Located just a 20-minute cycle from Amsterdam city centre and close to Amsterdam Zuid, the location strikes the perfect balance between calm and connectivity. Bo, who works part-time as an office host, adds, “Since living here, I can easily cycle to work.”
Right next to Don Bosco, residents find a vibrant shopping area with everything they need close by. “It’s so convenient,” they say. “From groceries to gifts, you rarely need to leave the area.”
They also regularly spend time in Sloterpark, just a short walk away. Whether it is going for a run or relaxing with a drink in the weekend, the nearby nature adds another dimension to city living. “It’s great to have that space to unwind,” Anthony says. great to have that space to unwind,”
